Planning a mediterranean cruise before I head back to the states later in the year.
So i’m looking for a good ship for about 2 weeks from southampton, back to southampton.
Excluding budget, which liner is the best? I’m actually deciding between royal carribean and celebrity but have never been cruising before!

My husband and I will be going on a W. Mediterranean cruise departing from Barcelona this September on Celebrity Cruise Line’s Century ship. Could an experienced cruiser please provide me with the following information:

-With a departure time of 6pm, what would the earliest boarding time be?

-The cruise ends at 5am back in Barcelona 10 days later. What approximate time would we be expected to disembark the ship?

at the end of october ,what clothes to take ? what about gratuites? and finally what is the celebrity century like to travel on ? . as i like good food and entertainment .

I’m planning a Med cruise in mid November for 2 wks. We’ll start in Venice, Italy and end up in Barcelona, Spain. The stops along the way are Dubrovnik, Croatia, Athens, Greece, Kusadasi, Turkey, Naples and Rome and Florence, Italy, and Villefranche, France on Celebrity Cruise Lines (ship Millenium).

I checked the weather average temps that time of year and they appear to be upper 50°s to lower 60°s F. What’s been your experience with weather that time of year, did you enjoy the ports of call, the ship, etc.

I’ve only cruised with Carnival (2 Caribbean cruises) thus far, so this will be a different experience. I hoped to get some sun time, but I fear it won’t be the time of year for that. Any info or experiences you can relate would be appreciated.
